  1. What is Flipora?

    It is a Personalized Search and Discovery engine that is made by Infoaxe Inc.

    Bored on the Web? You'll never be anymore. It recommends great websites to you automatically on topics you care about. Discover the freshest, most interesting websites of the day that are automatically recommended to you based on what your friends and other like minded people enjoy each day.

    Have trouble finding that website you loved? You never have to waste time bookmarking or tagging pages that you want to get back to. It automatically saves all the webpages you browse and makes it searchable from any computer or browser.

    To sum up, this helps you remember the great websites you visit (with web history search) and recommends great websites to you based on what you've liked in the past.

  2. How can I make this my homepage?

    Internet Explorer

    Go to menu Tools >> Internet Options. Change Home Page to this search URL: http://static.flipora.com/web_search.html

    Chrome

    Go to menu Settings, select "Open a specific page or set of pages" in the "On startup" section. Click "Set pages" and enter this search URL: http://static.flipora.com/web_search.html

    Firefox

    Go to menu Firefox >> Options. Change "When Firefox starts" box to "Show my home page" and update "Home Page" field to this search URL: http://static.flipora.com/web_search.html

  3. How does web history work?

    You can enable or disable history using the instructions below. Then you will be able to search your webhistory from any computer with internet access. Your webhistory is private and will not be shared with anyone. You have the ability to toggle webhistory for entire browsing sessions.

    1. How can I view my history?

      You can click on the person icon on the right side of our toolbar. There will be an option that says history. You can also bookmark http://feedshare.flipora.com/history.jsp

    2. How do I turn history on/off?

      Chrome: Click on the Wrench icon >> Settings. Then click Extensions on the menu on the left. You will see all your installed extensions. Scroll down to Flipora and click on Options. There is a toggle button that will allow you to turn web history recording on or off.


      Firefox: Click Tools >> Flip Settings. There is a check box labeled "Record Webpages Browsed." Check it to record web history, uncheck it to disable recording. Click save.

    3. Where is web history stored?

      Web history is stored on our servers. That way you can access it from any computer or browser where you have installed this add-on. We will not share your information with any third parties without your consent

  4. What platforms are supported?

    All major web browsers: Chrome, FireFox, Internet Explorer. If something doesn't look right on your browser, please email support@infoaxe.com

  5. How can I uninstall this add-on?

    Uninstalling this add-on from your browser is extremely easy.

    Firefox

    Go to menu Tools >> Add-ons, select "Extensions" tab and click "Remove" button for "Flipora - Connect with friends and discover the best of the Web". Restart your browser.

    Internet Explorer

    Go to Start >> Control Panel >> "Programs and Features" (or "Add or Remove Programs") and uninstall "Discovery Tools" and "Search Settings" programs.

    Chrome

    Go to menu Tools >> Extensions and click "Remove from Chrome" trash can icon for "Flipora" extension.
    Mac OS users: go to menu Chrome >> Preferences and select "Extensions" tab. Click "Remove from Chrome" trash can icon for "Flipora".

    Safari

    Go to menu Safari >> Preferences and select "Extensions" tab. Remove "Flipora" extension and restart your browser

    1. How do I reset my homepage?

      Follow the simple steps below on how to change your homepage to Google.com. [In the instructions below, replace google.com to the website you prefer as your homepage]:

    2. How do I reset searches from the address bar/search bar?

      To change the default search provider for your browser, please follow the directions below.

  6. How do I unsubscribe from your emails?

    You can click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our email or go to our unsubscribe page.

  7. How do I cancel my account?

    Send an email to cancel@infoaxe.com (no need to include a subject or body, a blank email will suffice)

    This will,

    1. Immediately unsubscribe you from ALL our emails.
    2. Stop all outgoing invitation emails from you to your friends that you had chosen to send
    3. Cancel your account and delete all your data from our servers. Important: You will not be able to login to your account after this.
    4. You will receive one final confirmation email from us with details on how to uninstall the addon, revert homepage etc. as detailed in http://flipora.com/faq.jsp#uninstall

    Note: Send the email to cancel@infoaxe.com from the email address associated with your account.

    If you change your mind, you can always create a new account at http://www.flipora.com with a different email address.
